The academic fields of Languages and Communication prepare for both internationalism and multilingualism. The principal aim of the Faculty is to train language and communication experts for professional tasks which demand good knowledge and command of language. The areas of expertise of the Faculty are language immersion, LSP, translation and cultural studies.
The Faculty of Philosophy is also responsible for language teaching in all disciplines. Here the endeavour is to utilize the expertise available in the Faculty for teaching LSP, crosscultural communication and multilingualism.
