The Department of German Language and Literature offers German Language and Literature Studies for exchange students. All teaching is in German, so a good working knowledge in German is required.
All exchange students planning of completing courses in German Language and Literature Studies should contact the Department of German Language and Literature after arrival. There might be limitations in group sizes.
The following courses are offered on bachelor's level:
- GERM1006 Landeskunde/Moderne Geschichte (4 ECTS)
- GERM2006 Literatur im historischen Kontext (5 ECTS)*
- GERM2007 Literatur im gesellschaftlichen Kontext (3 ECTS)*
- GERM2011 Vertiefende Linguistik (5 ECTS)
- GERM2012 Literaturanalyse (5 ECTS)*
- GERM2100 BA-Seminar (10 ECTS)
* Some previous study of literature and knowledge of basic terms of literary studies is expected.
In addition, several courses on master's level are available for exchange students who have a Bachelor's degree in German studies or equivalent number of ECTS.
