Publication guidelines

The University of Vaasa has two main publication series, one of them with two subseries. In addition, the Levón Institute and some other units have their own publication series.

These guidelines are aimed at writing for the University publication series.

Writing instructions

The writing instructions describe the publication process at the University of Vaasa. The instructions include information about the recommended format for the list of references, the structure of the text and the timetable of the dissertation process. It is recommended to read the instructions before beginning.

Instructions concerning the list of references and the writing style are mainly for those writing in Finnish.

Writing for the publication series

An MS Word template is used for writing for the publication series. The template includes all the main layout formattings. This enables the author to focus on the content.
