Vaasa University Foundation was established in 1961 and its purpose is to support the development of the University of Vaasa and the scientific research and teaching done here as well as support any activities of academic level in Vaasa.

Supporting the research activity in the University of Vaasa is central to the Vaasa University Foundation. Significant part in this support is the grants allocated to students working on their theses. These grants are available for admission during autumns. The goal is to link this type of research to practical problems and thus make companies support this type of research activity as well.
