The Levón Institute is the Center for Continuing Education and Research of the University of Vaasa. It provides continuing education, research and development services. Levón Institute is located in the city of Vaasa, in western Finland.
The University of Vaasa has been officially recognised as a university of high quality standards in adult education for the years 2004-2006 by the Ministry of Education.
Levón Institute provides extensive practical competence, applied research services and an ability to recognise the needs in education, research and development. In our services the scientific knowledge is combined with practical approach.
Our strongest fields of know-how are management and development of organisations, entrepreneurship, public management, multilingualism and communication, evaluation research, regional development and energy and environment.
The Levón Institute co-operates closely with private sector and the municipality and regional officials in the Vaasa area. The Institute is also an active national and international actor with continually developing network of contacts.

Open University of the University of Vaasa is part of the Levón Institute. Open University offers education of academic level to anyone interesting in studying, regardless of the person’s educational background, situation in life, and age. Teaching in Open University corresponds in goals, contents, and standards to the teaching given to university students. The courses at the Open University are liable to charge.
